BookMyCourier is operated by Book My Logistics LTD. We arrange courier services between customers and independent courier partners.

2. Information we collect
Depending on how you use our website and services, we may collect:
- Identity and contact details, such as your name, email address, phone number, billing details and business details.
- Booking and delivery details, including collection and delivery addresses, contact names and numbers, dates, times, access instructions, item descriptions, vehicle requirements, quotes and booking references.
- Courier partner information, including account, contact, vehicle, insurance, compliance, bid, job and payment or invoicing details.
- Payment and transaction information. Payments may be processed by a specialist payment provider. We do not need to store your full payment-card number.
- Communications, including enquiries, complaints, claims, feedback and emails.
- Technical and usage information, such as IP address, browser and device information, security logs, pages viewed, cookie identifiers and approximate location inferred from your connection.
We usually collect information directly from you. We may also receive it from the person or business making a booking, collection or delivery contacts, courier partners, payment providers, fraud-prevention services, or publicly available sources.
If you provide another person’s details, please make sure you are entitled to do so and tell them that their information will be used to arrange and complete the delivery.

Where we rely on legitimate interests, we consider whether our interests are necessary and balanced against your rights. You can object in certain circumstances. You may opt out of direct marketing at any time.
Information required to quote, book or complete a delivery is necessary for our contract. If it is not provided, we may be unable to supply the requested service. We do not currently make decisions producing legal or similarly significant effects using solely automated processing.
5. International transfers
Some technology suppliers may process information outside the United Kingdom. Where personal information is transferred internationally, we use an applicable legal safeguard, such as UK adequacy regulations or approved contractual protections, and any additional safeguards required.

6. How long we keep information
We keep information only for as long as needed for the purpose for which it was collected, including legal, accounting, fraud-prevention and dispute requirements. Our usual guide is:
- booking, transaction, invoice and related correspondence: up to 7 years after the relevant transaction or relationship;
- general enquiries that do not become bookings: up to 24 months after the enquiry is closed;
- inactive customer or courier accounts: normally reviewed for deletion or anonymisation after 2 years of inactivity;
- cookie and analytics information: according to the lifespan of the relevant cookie or tool.
We may keep information for longer where a complaint, claim, investigation or legal requirement makes this necessary. When it is no longer needed, we delete or anonymise it.
7. How we protect information
We use proportionate technical and organisational measures designed to protect personal information against loss, misuse, unauthorised access, alteration and disclosure. These include access controls, secure hosting and transmission, software updates, backups and supplier checks where appropriate.
No online system can be guaranteed completely secure. Please keep account details confidential and contact us promptly if you believe your information or account has been compromised.
8. Your data protection rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have the right to:
- be informed about how your information is used;
- request access to a copy of your personal information;
- ask us to correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
- ask us to erase information or restrict how it is used;
- object to processing based on legitimate interests or for direct marketing;
- receive certain information in a portable format;
- withdraw consent at any time where processing relies on consent; and
- raise a concern with the Information Commissioner’s Office.
These rights are not absolute and exemptions may apply. We may need to verify your identity before acting on a request. We normally respond within one month.
10. Children
Our booking services are not directed at children, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children as customers. Please contact us if you believe a child has provided us with personal information inappropriately.
11. Changes to this policy
We may update this policy when our services, suppliers or legal obligations change. The effective date at the top shows when this version applies. Material changes may also be highlighted on our website or communicated directly where appropriate.
